Scripps highlighted the Make-A-Wish celebration of 500,000 wishes worldwide through speaking with wish kid Karina about her wish to give sick kids a day to forget they are sick and Make-A-Wish president and CEO, Richard K. Davis.

People.com posted a story following the wish kids attendance at the NBA game with screen grabs of the wish kids in the stands.

NBC Nightly News featured Karina in the show's final segment. The 90 second piece included footage of wish kids across the country participating in Kamp Karina as well as a post-wish interview with Karina herself.

Telemundo aired a 5 minute segment on the morning of Kamp Karina for its Spanish-speaking viewers nationally and internationally. The segment included a live interview with Karina and her mom as well as a sneak peak at Kamp Karina.

In a partnership with ESPN and NBA, Make-A-Wish was able to invite 30 wish families to watch Game 4 of the Eastern Conference Championship from the virtual stands. During a timeout break in the second quarter, the ESPN broadcasters mentioned Karina and the 500,000th wish while driving people to visit wish.org.

Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson agreed to give his first public interview since the pandemic began to discuss the 40th anniversary of Make-A-Wish and what the organization means to him. He shared stories of his time meeting wish kids in addition to a short video highlighting some of the footage from his previous wishes.

Media icon Oprah Winfrey virtually granted Akila's wish to meet her with a nearly hour-long video call.

The "Good Morning Sunshine" segment in the second hour of the show focused on Sam's wish to give back to healthcare workers that took place on World Wish Day.

The Associated Press (AP) discusses Make-A-Wish in an online and video story, in which they spoke with Richard K. Davis, president and CEO of Make-A-Wish America about the impact COVID-19 has had on the organization and increased need, as well as wish kid Audrey's dad about her recently delayed wish and birthday celebration hosted by Make-A-Wish San Diego.

Make-A-Wish is recognized by receiving a "Yas Queen" award from the Let's Go There hosts and promotes the Messages of Hope campaign delivering hope to wish kids waiting in light of COVID-19 postponements.
